// Profile Film
Rescue Global commissioned RAW to create a short, engaging film to help new audiences get a succinct overview of their activities as a charity. An understanding of the structure of RG’s complex organisation was vital to allow us to translate this into a simple but effective narrative, whilst balancing the tone between their military style operations and humanitarian goals.
This film was constructed from a mix of Rescue Global’s own archive footage from actual disasters alongside purpose-shot footage that we obtained shadowing them during various training missions. We shot our footage using a mixture of techniques, including miniature cameras, timelapses and considered ‘beauty’ shots. Filming with the charity during training required a very dynamic and adaptable approach as the nature of these missions means working in a constantly changing environment. The final film utilises motion graphics to emphasise the technical capabilities and professionalism of the charity without being too militaristic and keeping focus on their humanitarian goal.
Rescue Global have a short film that they can send out to prospective partners and supporters with complete confidence they are being accurately represented and that communications are perfectly aligned with their goal and brand messaging. We were also honoured to pick up a silver award at the 2014 Davey awards.
