// Pippa’s Story

Princess Alice Hospice commissioned RAW to create a compelling case study that could serve as an awareness and promo film for the charity. They wanted the film to tell Pippa’s story, whose husband died from cancer, but with the help and support of Princess Alice’s at home service, David was able to die, what Pippa calls, ‘a beautiful death’. David was surrounded by friends and family in the comfort of his own home receiving the best care possible, whilst Pippa and their daughter, Poppy, were able to maintain as much normality as possible in their daily lives.


Taking into account the sensitive nature of this topic, we wanted to make sure that we approached the film in a delicate and un-intrusive way. We used timelapses interspersed with interviews from Pippa and Poppy to convey that, due to the support of Princess Alice at home, relative normalcy was allowed to continue. The timelapses also show that support from the Hospice remained constant, with nurses providing comfort and help throughout this unsettling time.


Princess Alice Hospice now have a beautifully shot film showcasing the importance of their at home support, which they can use to promote their unique services in a moving and powerful way. Pippa and Poppy’s story can also now be shared in order to help others going through a similar difficult time.
