// Video Production for The Royal British Legion
RAW Productions have been working closely with The Royal British Legion (TRBL) for the past 4 years, helping them establish a solid video product and efficient online delivery strategy from the ground up. Check out our current RBL showreel here.
Back in 2007, RAW produced the first video for TRBL – a simple one-camera edit of a press launch for their ‘Honour the Covenant’ campaign on the banks of the Thames. Since then, RAW have worked closely with the Legion’s PR and media departments to help create a standardised ‘look and feel’ to all video productions we create for them.
As the video productions became more complex in specification, such as multi-camera HD coverage of their annual conference, a live 5-camera web broadcast from Trafalgar square and an HD documentary of their BASE jumping team in South Africa, we began to establish a well-organised digital video library arranged over a number of secure RAID drives at our HQ.
New video products were gradually introduced, such as a ‘Year in Review’ DVD; an annual production showcasing a selection of exciting fundraising and campaign activities throughout the year. Distributed through conventional DVD duplication, it enabled members, stakeholders and staff to be kept up-to-date with the Legion’s activities.
We setup the Legion’s YouTube channel back in the early part of 2009 and it proved an instant success. The quality and depth of the video productions was appreciated by the loyal YouTube subscribers and the viewer numbers increased exponentially. To date, the channel has enjoyed nearly 400,000 views over 117 videos and the channel holds numerous viewership awards. It’s great to see users leaving positive comments on the content.
In this, the Legion’s 90th year, we hope to help them produce more innovative and engaging video production material. Our post production services are also expanding, with the addition of 2 extra Final Cut workstations and a further 30Tb of RAID storage.
Take a look at our video production for charities page for further information. Our friendly producers will be able to talk you through the production processes and offer assistance on distributing content in the most efficient method(s) possible.
