2014 is the centenary of World War I – 100 years since the brave soldiers fought in the trenches in 1914. To mark the centenary, The Royal British Legion wanted to do something special in remembrance of those who fought and died 100 years ago.

‘Lights Out’ asks the nation to light a candle between 10pm and 11pm on Monday 4th August in remembrance of the 1.1 million men and women of the Commonwealth Armed Forces who lost their lives in the First World War. RAW were commissioned to produce a video that promoted awareness of this remembrance campaign. We enlisted the help of some of the nation’s favourite celebrities, including Jeremy Paxman, Louis Smith, David Gandy and Twiggy to spread the word, light a candle and share a moment of reflection.
